The present terms of sale apply to all sales made in the store and on the website.

Prices and currencies

All prices displayed are in Canadian dollars (CAD$) and all fees are processed in Canadian dollars. All prices posted on this site are subject to confirmation. You agree to pay all charges payable in connection with your order, including applicable taxes and shipping charges, in one payment at the time of ordering.

Taxes and duties

For orders delivered in Canada, we collect the taxes in force, according to the province of delivery.

For orders delivered to the United States, Europe or elsewhere in the world, we are unfortunately unable to estimate customs duties and taxes. You are therefore entirely responsible for all taxes, duties and customs fees that the transaction on the Canadian site generates.

For security reasons and to prevent fraud, online credit card orders placed through this website will only be accepted if the name and billing address match the name on the purchaser's credit card and the address on their credit card file. If the information does not match, your order will be declined, even if the transaction has been authorized by your bank. In this case, we will contact you to obtain the necessary information to be able to credit you using the original online payment method. The information obtained will be kept confidential. Shipping costs

Delivery charges cover preparation and packaging costs, plus postage. They are established according to the delivery method chosen by the customer at the time of the order, the delivery address, the number of items ordered and the total amount of the order, before taxes (when applicable). Please refer to the delivery charges indicated in the Shipping and Delivery section. These fees may be modified at any time by Original Au Coton, without prior notice.

Free shipping offers advertised on the Original Au Coton website or in promotional emails from Original Au Coton do not apply to orders shipped to Nunavut, Yukon, Northwest Territories, any other remote areas or where Canadian postal codes are accessible by air only. They also do not apply to orders shipped to the United States, Europe or elsewhere in the world.

Processing and delivery times

At Original Au Coton, we use reasonable and necessary efforts to deliver items as quickly as possible and within the specified time frame. However, we do not accept responsibility for deliveries that are delayed for reasons beyond our control. We endeavor to notify users if delivery is to be delayed. All items are delivered by a third party and delivery is subject to the terms and conditions stipulated in their shipping contract.

Online orders are ready to ship within 3-5 business days.

For deliveries in Canada, the delivery time is 2 to 7 business days for Standard delivery and 1 to 2 business days for Express delivery. However, please allow up to fifteen (15) business days for delivery to remote locations.

For international deliveries, the delivery time is 10 to 20 working days. This time may be longer for delivery to remote locations.

Responsibility for shipments

All items purchased through the website are subject to a shipping contract, which means that Original Au Coton assumes the risk of loss of the ordered items as soon as we hand them over to the carrier. Title to these items passes to you when you take possession of the package at destination, either at the delivery address provided during the online purchase order or at the postal service drop-off counter.

Canadian Postal Return: Original Au Coton assumes the risk of loss of returned items as soon as you deliver the package to Canada Post following the instructions described in the Exchange and Return section. Title to these items is then transferred to Original Au Coton when Canada Post takes possession of the package.

In the event that the guidelines described in the Exchange and Return section are not followed, you will assume the risk of loss until we receive the package and take possession of said merchandise.

Postal returns outside of Canada: You are fully responsible for items returned to Original Au Coton and assume the risk of loss until we receive the package and take possession of said merchandise. Title to such items passes to Original Au Coton when Original Au Coton takes possession of such merchandise.

Exchange and return policy

You have 30 days to make an exchange or obtain a refund.

All shipping charges, including those incurred by returns, are non-refundable.

Refunds are made by the same payment method as the original purchase.

Returns or exchanges made in store are free.

Postal returns in Canada: the fixed fee of $9.95 for each return of merchandise is charged to the customer. The returns of orders delivered in Canada are done through Canada Post. The 30-day period is calculated from the time the package is delivered to the customer's home to the time it is dropped off at a Canada Post outlet for return.

Postal returns outside of Canada: All costs (customs duties, taxes, postage and other fees) incurred by each return of merchandise are the responsibility of the customer. Returns of orders delivered outside of Canada are made by regular mail, postage paid and insured. The 30-day period is calculated from the time the package is delivered to the customer's home to the time it arrives at the Original Au Coton service center.

Original Au Coton is not responsible for packages not received.

Products purchased in store can only be exchanged or refunded in store.

Returns and exchanges are for a value equal to the selling price of the exchanged or returned merchandise, including taxes. Shipping costs are not refunded.

Eligibility of products for exchange or refund

All merchandise submitted for return or exchange is inspected. If the merchandise does not meet the following criteria, Original Au Coton reserves the right not to issue a return or exchange:

  • Merchandise was purchased in store or delivered within the last 30 days (with proof of delivery confirmation)
  • The goods are suitable for resale
  • The merchandise is in its original packaging with its labels attached
  • The goods are in the same condition as they were at the time of delivery
  • The goods are not carried and/or not used
  • The goods have not been washed
  • The goods are not damaged

We do not accept returns or exchanges for the following products:

  • personalized items
  • jewelry intended for body piercing
  • underwear
  • gift cards
  • products sold on sale or marked "final sale


We guarantee that the products will be free of defects in design, assembly and material for a period of 30 days from the date of taking possession of the goods.

We will repair or replace, at our discretion, any defective product at no charge.

To be eligible for this warranty, you must provide us with the defective product and a copy of the original purchase receipt for inspection.

This warranty is void if we determine that the item has been misused, modified or altered in any way.

This warranty does not provide protection against normal wear and tear or damage from misuse.

There are no other warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranty or condition of quality, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and such implied warranties, if any, are limited to the duration of this warranty. In no event shall we be liable for any consequential, special, direct or indirect damages, including, but not limited to, loss of business or profits arising from the sale or use of any product, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties, or consequential, incidental or other damages. Therefore, the above exclusions and limitations may not apply to you.

Exchange or return of a defective product

If you believe a product is defective, contact us immediately by email at or by phone at 1-514-383-4800 with details of the product and the problem. We will let you know how to proceed.

If you wish to return defective products, you may follow the return or exchange procedure described in the Exchange and Return section. Upon receipt of the product, we will carefully examine it and inform you by email, within a reasonable period of time, of our decision whether or not to grant a replacement or refund for the defect complained of. We aim to process the refund or replacement as soon as possible and, in any event, within one (1) month from the date we have confirmed to you by email that you are entitled to a refund or replacement. In this case, we will replace the product or refund the purchase price, shipping costs and applicable taxes to you via the payment method used to purchase the non-conforming product.


The use of this website and orders placed through it are subject to the laws and jurisdiction of the courts of the province of Quebec. The user is required to comply with these laws. Any dispute related to these laws will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the province of Quebec. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
